Slate is hosted on AWS in Australia with encryption at rest and in transit. We support 2FA for all accounts.
Who owns the content I upload?
You do. Everything you create in Slate belongs to you. You can export your content and learner data at any time.
Can I embed Slate into my existing website?
Yes. Slate is designed to be embedded directly into your site so learners never leave your domain. No iframes — it's a native integration.
What happens when I hit the 25 enrolment limit on Free?
You'll be prompted to upgrade to Pro. Your existing learners and courses won't be affected — no one gets locked out mid-course.
Can I switch plans as my needs change?
Yes. Upgrade from Free to Pro at any time. If you downgrade, your content and data are preserved — you'll just lose access to Pro features.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Pro customers who pay annually save 20%. Corporate plans are billed annually by default.
What counts as an enrolment?
An enrolment is counted each time a learner is enrolled into a course. If the same learner takes three courses, that's three enrolments.
How does usage-based pricing work?
You pay a base platform fee plus a small cost per enrolment. Quiet month? Lower bill. No long-term contracts on Pro.
